SANTO DOMINGO.- A packed hall with more than 700 motivated real estate agents eager to immerse themselves in the knowledge brought by the exhibitors, a stage adorned for learning, the image of the organizing entity standing out in the Grand Ballroom of the Catalonia Hotel, and an outpouring of good vibes that lasted until the close of the meeting; this was “The New Real Estate Era”, the 2022 International Congress of the Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies (AEI).

The large crowd that attended demonstrated that the country's real estate agents are eager for events like the one held yesterday. Inside, quiet and still, the audience listened attentively to the brilliant presentations of a panel of experienced professionals who flew in from various parts of the world to share their lessons and experiences with the agents of this Caribbean nation.

Outside, the murmur of a few people shaking hands or melting into a hug, trying to catch up after a period of not seeing each other; the eternal coffee was the excuse to exchange impressions and update news, while the sponsoring companies stationed on the sides of the outside gave visibility to their brand in support of the event; the set of Elite House was set up, with Ariel Castillo, taking the opportunity to interview the players in the sector.

Nikauly de la Mota, dressed in white, greeted everyone with a smile, exuding energy. Her experience eased her long day. She went up and down smiling and ready, but not before leaving her mark on the large stage.

Cindy Castillo, dressed in black and wearing matching sneakers to stay comfortable and in tune with current fashion, showcased her knowledge, success, and charm with the Airbnb platform. She presented figures demonstrating her success in this venture, offered advice to agents and administrators to strengthen their services in the short-term rental business, and made it clear that real estate is a profession where alliances must be forged because "alliances are compatible with money.".

The awards were presented at the end of each speech by the international speakers, who will arrive at their destination with a pleasant memory of distinction from a successful day, here where the sun, the beach and the palm trees paint the Caribbean scene with color.

The construction and real estate company boasts a wealth of projects, including 5,800 units for the national market, and will expand into Las Terrenas and Jarabacoa. Next year, they will also launch Noval Academy, eliciting enthusiastic applause from the crowd and leaving everyone wanting more.

Ana Seidy López arrived with her exclusive presentation, outlining the conditions that must be met for it. She guided the audience through the common objections raised by clients, inviting them to explore the similarities between her native Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic through her presentation. She then presented a pin to the Dominican students who had graduated from one of her courses.

The time has come for the announced panel of the “Dominican bigwigs”: Juan Estévez, Mr Home, the multifaceted Isely Almánzar and Juan Chalas from Plusval Dominicana.

It was a space filled with hope, because despite the difficulties the country and the world are going through, there was no room for pessimism; the construction industry continues to flourish and is experiencing its best moment in the country, explained the representatives of the site, who took the opportunity to give wise advice to the agents.

It was time to recharge their energy, after a round with two talkative namesakes, in an oratory debate, which made clear to the audience the reasons for their leadership; and in front of an empowered Isely, who with feminine skill, highlighted the charms of her beloved and eternal Santiago.

As evening approached, threatening rain, the AEI team was recognized on stage after lunch for their dedication and hard work. The occasion was also marked by the 33 years of service to the institution, and a well-deserved tribute was paid to Olga Gómez Cuesta, a wise and determined professional with an unparalleled spirit. The ovation was overwhelming, and the honoree summed up her gratitude in two words: “love and passion.”.

Carlos Rentalo secured the last spot, arriving brimming with energy and absolute command, ready to support real estate agents in building their personal brands. He invited those present to join the new Metaverse movement, the new era of the virtual world, and to move beyond the exclusivity of social media.

He recommended they embark on producing in-depth content, creating informative blogs that show investors more than just properties. If he learned anything during the pandemic, it's that we should all live as if it were our last day, so he suggested the audience embrace that philosophy and enjoy every second of their lives.

Its spectacular finale, with all the cell phone flashlights of the crowd illuminated, a light show and music, was joined by a techno dance group, representative of a new era that has arrived to stay, and with their energy levels high at the stroke of five in the afternoon, standing and applauding, the audience made it clear that they are ready for the in-person reunion in 2023. Thus ended a memorable day.
